I've formed .308 Win cases down and will be neck-turning. I was wondering, do I turn the necks first then anneal them or the other way around?

If you were going to anneal the time to do was before you necked them down.

Now that they're already necked, I'd turn, trim, fireform, THEN anneal if you think they need it.

That's all the more reason to anneal first. You'll have a MUCH easier time in the resizing dies and spring-back will be much less. Lube is important because soft brass is slightly gummy.

Look at U.S. military ammo to see what percentage of the case can be annealed in one step.

I shoot nothing but Fireball cases made from military .223 brass.

I anneal a third of the way down the .223 body, tumble polish, deprime, initial size, trim, final form size, neck turn, FL re-size (neck doesn't touch), trim again, uniform primer/flash, chamfer and inspect each case before I sort by weight. I trim again after fireforming.

I'll wear out this barrel with 400 cases.
