CRUSHERwell you dont have to fill the case all the way up lol your only lookin at like 100 grains of 4831 and 100 gr ttsx.
just trying to get it to work on a switch bbl crf rifle so needs to be same case for ease. maybe 6.5 rigby would be better?

boom stickMay I humbly suggest the ultra high BC 7 mm.
A 7mm-416 rigby would be able to throw 100 grain varnmit bullets to 180 grain target bullets hovering about 4,000 FPS.
Any thoughts?

CRUSHER7 mm stw for the h&h based case is a thought but was another medium I guess you could use real light bullets. I like the tables on a 6.5 stw but not sure.
the 7mm 416 is a good thought looking for at least 100 grains weight differance between each one of the three. not sure there is enough space bedtween 7mm 416 338 lapua and 416 rigby. interesting set of three.

boom stickIMHO the 7 is more flexible with greater bullet selection.
Was thinking the 7 Lapua would be best for sake of forming brass. Heck even Lapua has a 300 factory version. A 7 Lapua would be a better 600 yard game/1000 yard target gun because it would be easier and flatter to shoot the 180's @ 3,300 VS the 300's @ 2700
I'd go with a long as possible barrel. 28"!

CRUSHERok looks like 257 h&h will be the first try on this line of thought because I have a 375 wff hein action and a 257 kreiger blank in the shop so we shal see. I am looking at 300 h&h necked straight down to 257 hoping for 3400 or so with 100 gr tsx.
