My search skills suck - I just don't speak puter so I thought I would just come out and ask - was BS-in at work today and thought of this combo - 300 RUM to 9,3 RUM. I am sure it has been done - just what were the results?

Not really interested in owning one - I hunt nothing that can't be killed with a 30-06 but was curious.

There's a factory 375 RUM and I have heard of the 35 RUM wildcat, but can't say that I know of anyone doing the 9.3.

Check Charlie Sisk. I believe he has done one. Also, look at the home paages of those who provide reamers. They list a lot of wild c ats. Again, I believe I've seen on listed. Also do a search on this site.

By the By the 366 DGW is done on a 416 Rigby. Pretty close to what you're looking at.

There won't be any surprises. Check out the 338 RUM and the 375 RUM. No reason it would perform less or more than could be expected.
Figure a little slower than same-weight 375 loads.

Well, you're just not looking in the right places!
Second from right, 9.3x64? Sweet round. What's that first one, 9.3x57?

I've built a few in 9.3 Ultra. 286 grainers will pass 2900 fps with pressures in the low 60's. If I were to ever build one for myself, it would weigh at least 9 pounds without scope.

I'm not a fan of long barrels on hunting rifles, unless its a varmint rig.20 to 23 inches does the job for me.

The test I've done show about 20 fps per inch, from 257 Roberts to 300 Ultra.
