DoublessWell, after almost six months...
The 358 Gremlin barrels a friend and I ordered from McGowan are due to be turned this week. I am hoping that in the next three weeks or so the barrels will be here and we can assemble the AR-15 uppers.
It has been a long wait: we ordered the barrels back in August, but the reamer wasn't sent until November. Add holiday weeks for Christmas and Thanksgiving, and well, here we are...
I am going to shoot some cast in this rifle, assuming we can get the thing to feed. So far the RCBS 35-200 FN and the H&G #8 (@250 grains) will both fit the mags, so here is hoping... we also have 180 and 200-grain Speer bullets, and some of the 38-caliber HG Partition bullets from Nosler to try.
I think this is going to be fun. Stay tuned!
