I may be wrong but wouldn't this be a 300 Savage?

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! 'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

A 300 Savage necked down to 25 is a 250-3000 that case necked down to 22 is the 22-250.

Since the swift was built from the 6mm Lee Navy something like a 30 Lee Navy makes since. I don't remember is the 6mmLee was its own design or came from somethng else.

As usual just my $.02

The Swift case has been necked up and down over the years to just about any caliber that the case will hold. Whoever necked it to 30 probably had his own name for it. I'd call it a 30/220 or a 220/30, whatever turns you on. Or you could call it a 30 Cobra - a 240 Cobra necked up.

Paul, the 250-3000 was not the 300 Savage necked to 25 caliber. Close, but not the same. And, the 250 Savage preceeded the 300 Savage by about 5 years.

Well Crap it is a good day and a bad day.

Learned something new you are right the 250-3000 was 1915 and the 300 was 1921 and like you say cases are close but no cigar.

Bad news is I've had it a$$ backwards and wrong for 40 years or more. Heck I was so sure I was right I had to go look it up to verify that I was WRONG CRYBABY. Thanks for the heads up.

To anyone that I have given the wrong info to concerning these three cases over the last 40 years. OOPS Sorry Frowner But since it was free advice you get what you pay for. jumping
