416 Remington ultra magnum
Hi!

I own a .416 Rem now and wonder if it is possible use a 375 RUM case as a basic shell for conversion to a wildcat .416 RUM? Do I need a new barrel for this?
Has this been done by others?

I think it's also known as the 416UMT (ULtra Mag Towsley by Bruce Towsley) and 416UltraCat (by Fred Zeglin of Z-Hat). I doubt you'll need a new barrel unless yours is shortish ... in which case it might get pretty loud Eeker
I'm considering rechambering a Brno602 in 300WinMag to 300RUM ... work described so far is basically the rechamber, plus magazine and rail modifications to feed and retain the existing 25" barrel ... so I doubt you'd need a new barrel.
Cheers...
