I just saw a new Savage model, RBLP, heavy barrel, synthetic stock, in 5/35MSC(?) at a gun shop in Boise. The brass looked for all the world like a remodeled 20BR. Anybody know anything?

I think your old eyes are deceiving you. Could it be that you saw the 5mm/35 SMC? Or as we Benchrest shooters call it, the 20 Smack.

I like the name 20BS better... anybody in the 21st Century that adds some jackass shoulder radius as their contribution to the shooting fraternity, and then needs to patent it, has an ego problem or dog in the manger mentality. I guess they all think they can pull off a Rick Jamison and retire. Pompous Asses.
