After shortening or necking down a case to make a " whatever " wildcat, what should be the wall thickness of the neck brass to achieved sufficient pressure on the projectile ? Roger | ||

It depends on you reamer. You obviously dont want to go too thin but on my last wildcat I had the case neck thickness of .016 "though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be rightful must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal rights, which equal law must protect, and to violate would be oppression." ---Thomas Jefferson | |||

In big bores, I have seen down to 0.012 and up to 0.019 for smaller cases.
