I have just been handed a Benjamin Trail NP .177 that belongs to my father inlaw. In has been under his bed for a while I guess. The picatinny rail has detatched from the rifle. Looks like it was attached with some kind of epoxy glue from the factory. How best can this rail be reattached?

I had the same one. I shot mine so much I had to replace the piston. I looked at the schematic on line. Didn't see any replacements. I'd recommend drill it and tap it into the compression tube and use a thread locker to seal it. I did not see from the website that a new compression tube was available. The piston is pretty violent Id recommend the Bullseye Zero mount to save your scope when you repair it. https://www.jgairguns.biz/trail-trail-np-c-78_84_852/
