Can anyone recommend a decent airgun scope in the $100-$150 range? Will be mounted on an Air Venturi Avenger. TIA

First thing you need look for is a scope that can be focused at short distances.

I am using the MEOPTA OPTICA6 MEOPRO 3-18X50.

Great for air rifles.

Try finding a side focus scope good for air rifle ranges for under $150. Ain’t happening.

Meopta has side focus

These are the scopes I am using for my air rifle tests.

They can be fovused to 10 yards.

I like them.

What's the deal in air rifle scopes?

I've read two schools of thought:

1) Regular riflescopes can't take the positive/negative recoil of spring/break air rifles

2) #1 only applies to cheap scopes. Leupold, for example, states their scopes are all air rifle rated.

I have a Weaver 1-3x20mm on my Feinwerkbau 124 and it works great. BTW - that is an air rifle! It will punch holes through 1/4" plywood at 30 yards. Haven't tried further or thicker.

Most important part is the focus.

Normal so-es cannot be focused at short distances.

I have used low power scopes from all the major manufacturers in the past on spring air rifles.

Never had any problems.

The new PCPs are much more powerful and more accurate.

They do do require good scopes.

Saeed: Exactly.

When Zeiss 6-24x72 became obsolete, I got an idea to buy it and put on the air rifle (was sold for reasonable price). But:

Focus/paralax from 50 meters to infinity? No way for a air rifle and .22 LR too. 10 meters as minimum distance OK.

So I bought Element Optics Nexus for my PCP.

None of the scopes mentioned cost under $150, which was what the original post specified…….

I have tried cheap scopes on air rifles.

They don't last.
