Gents,

I would appreciate hearing about any experiences you may have regarding either of these two lubricants. I thought I would try something new and both seem to be very highly recommended on Midway and Brownell's websites. Thanks in advance.

I think Militec makes an outstanding product. I use their grease on the hinge pins of my double rifles. I try to put their lube on all my weapons.

Interesting question. I have stuck with LSA and some break free pretty much, but free Kroil is starting to make inroads.

I look forward to the responses here.

Thanks for the responses guys, I had all but given up on this thread.

I tried some gun butter from a friend and it seemed to be ok but I couldn't tell much difference from any other oil I've used in the past. I found a local supplier of Eezox and bought a can of that, I'll give that a try for a while.

Militec-1 may be a good lubricant, but it didn't do well in the Gun Zone corrosion test. I've been using Eezox for over 20yrs, it's always worked excellent.

I think Militec grease is a common automotive chassis lube that has been repackaged. I have a little of it that was given to me by a friend's mother after he died. It is a good gun lube but it is an outstanding case forming lube. I find it too messy for regular case forming activities.
