It is an excellent book just as I wrote in my review on Amazon. Fred did a very good job and his knowledge of the subject is quite evident.
It's really too bad that his publisher did him such a disservice with the amateurish editing, layout and proofreading.
A more weak job of publishing can scarcely be imagined.

A true nobody spouting off in an attempt to spoil another good forum. Crawl back in your hole Larry, one one here will believe you.

I am firmly convienced cleaning rods have ruined more bores than shooting ever has..

Sometimes it's the misuse of a rod, or using other than SS rods that ruin a bore, but ruined is ruined, and the majority of hunters have not put a great deal of study into the cleaning process and why should they, they now have the Bore snake and its as effective as any other method of cleaning from a practical standpoint...

I know Jack Belk, one the all time best and most knowledgeable metal smiths in the industry says the boresnake is the best method and it is all he uses.

Like I've said, I may clean a bore with a rod and guide twice a year, and the rest of the year with a bore snake, and I'm satisfied with the results over probably the last 10 or 15 years.
