Cleaning upside down

I have bore guides for my bolt guns, the ar15s come apart as do my shotguns but my leverguns were a pain in the ass.

So about 8 years ago I turned them upside down on the Tipton vise with a muzzle guide. Now I get all that nasty stuff on the vise instead of in the works of the gun.

Anyone doing this?

I might give that a try. Don't see why I can't do that with my Case Gard Gunsmiths Maintenance Centre, and Otis from the breach system.

Of course we all clean our guns upside down, down here.

that would be like the same concept as cleaning a garand upside down to keep solvent from collecting in the gas tube. Nothing wrong with that.
