Aivars is a bigger man than me wearing Capri pants while hunting in Africa. I think I'll stick with my Carhart pants-- they protect me from thorns and look a little more macho.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Very good read. Thanks you David for taking the time to put it together and sharing it with us.

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

Ain't that the truth! A while back, I was trying to total up the number of PH's who trained under Roger Whittall Safaris and lost count at 40 something... Some of the very finest PH's in Africa. Trained by legends of the industry like Roger himself, and Magara Dirapenga.

I have hunted a number of times with Pete, Thierry, Rich, Myles... Gentlemen, you all have my number - anytime, any place. I thoroughly enjoy the humor and I respect the in-field determination.

Thanks again for all the positive feedback friends, more RWS hunt reports coming your way soon!

David
