Congratulations on some nice trophies, Jason. That warthog is a legitimate monster. And true to my word, I apologize if I mistook you for a troll. Nice stockwork on the Sako, btw. Jason, DAMN, I missed the troll comment. Where was it? And here after we have corresponded for a few years about your hunts. I am surprised that you felt the need to justify your existence. Ha! There are a lot of so-called experts but you just have to let it slide. Now, as far as that .375, I have been on your case for a long time about it not being enough gun, but, shit, no one is perfect. Be well. ------------------------------- Will / Once you've been amongst them, there is no such thing as too much gun. --------------------------------------- and, God Bless John Wayne. Will I am known to you and a few others, but the truth is, with no photos I seemed like a fraud to at least one regular member. We got into it about Hatari Times on the African hunting forum after he took a comment I made as a personal slight. At the very least we all deserve to know who we are dealing with on this forum. I read "Cats" for a long time and took him at his word, only to find that he was a fraud. As far as the 375. I have had a change of heart. I can't say what brought it on but.... I am going to have a 458 Lott built. That is why I sold the 458wm. My barrel should arrive today. The Blackburn bottom metal, well thats another story! I do have to credit you with your advice. As you said, the 375 will work, but for how long? The funny thing is that if I hunt buffalo without a PH, which I hope to do, I really don't know if I will use my 375 or the 458. I am so dang confident in my ability to place my shot with the 375 I think that I will use it for the frist shot, if over 50 yards, at the very least. Now, for he follow-up I will carry the 458. Jason, A well-placed shot with a 375 is plenty for buff. It is just when the first shot is screwed up that things can go bad. There is always a one in a million chance that you could stumble upon one wounded or snared by someone else and then bring on the BIG guns. The Lott would be a good backup! At least morale wise if not in reality. ------------------------------- Will / Once you've been amongst them, there is no such thing as too much gun. --------------------------------------- and, God Bless John Wayne. I believe the following is a quote from Jeff Cooper about the 375 H&H on African game... "375H&H.. too much for 75% of the game in Africa ..and not enough for the last 25%". Your mileage may vary.

Good to hear from you again Jason. Hopefully your wedding has taken place and everyday is a honeymoon at home. Did you ever make it back to Zambia? You had mentioned you were looking into guiding. Is that still on the books? Frank
