Well our trophies made it to the house yesterday before the bad weather hit, another story altogether! Close inspection showed all looked well without any gliches. http://i380.photobucket.com/al...2008/trophies001.jpg http://i380.photobucket.com/al...2008/trophies002.jpg Our hunt took place July 7-14, 2008 with Limcroma Safaris, Trophy Pro SA took care of the dip/ship and tanning, Professional Trophy Exports arranged the air freight from Africa and Coppersmith was the import agent. I must say things were well packed and the containers were well built. http://i380.photobucket.com/al...2008/trophies005.jpg http://i380.photobucket.com/al...2008/trophies012.jpg The tanning on the zebra and half backskins were excellent quality all bullet/broadhead holes were patched on the tanned skins as well. Here is the final tally of getting the stuff back.... Dip/Ship & Tanning of zebra rug and backskins (wildebeest and kudu)= $1480 Airfreight JNB-->DFW 2 crates=$680 Coppersmith Fees /Government Inspection Fees =$650 Grand Total $2809 Keep in mind the charges for dip/ship are paid before the projects leave Africa, so it was a little less painful to be spread out. http://i380.photobucket.com/al...2008/trophies011.jpg The next step is getting my taxidermist to squeeze me in between all his other projects! I'll keep you updated with the mounts. | ||
