Just got the news from CAWA. The last hunter has been blessed to get a huge bongo on the 4th day of the hunt. He is 35'' and should be in the top 6 SCI. Waitng for the total score in 3 months.

Sorry I am not able to attach the picture so here is the link of my web site:

You will enjoy some giant forest hog and yellow backed duiker pictures.

Hi Christophe,

Is that from one of the older machans or a new one?

What a beast!!!

When things cool down in CAR, we'll go for a long walk for LDE.

Regards,

Steve

Thank you Eland Slayer for posting the picture.
Hi, Steve, as you know I am waiting for you..

This bongo on the trail cam pic. is a monster for sure, I think 37/38''.. It is on one old salt lick, amazing how more and more bongos are coming. On one of them we had 12 different bulls, all shooter during the season.
I saw one, I think over 38''.
I can't wait to be there again for those big bull and giant forest hog !!! so many of them.

Outstanding! That is on my bucket list, although I would settle for something a bit smaller. Smiler

Dahav,

We will look for them ...
Bongo over 34'' are not common but they are so many in this part of CAR that one big one can show up anytime anywhere.
Like every big trophy you have to be Lucky..
I am pretty sure that the new n° 1 will come from this area...
