That is a total bullocks by who ever is in charge. My sympathy and condolences not only and especially to Andrew but the entire country. I hear that swirling sound again as things start to circle the drain faster.

Not a tape measure guy!! I know the Sable went 43 because Andrew remarked on it. I think he said the Roan was 27, but I could be wrong. I don't know on the Sitatunga or Defassa Waterbuck.
I'll see if Andrew would care to chime in.

Without looking at my records I think the Crawshay's went 25 plus and the Sitatunga 23 1/2?

stomperI noted earlier in your post that you once lived on the rez at ft defiance. I always am amazed to read on here when people have actually lived in areas I hunt with regularity. I just recently shared a plane ride with a nurse who works there. Her son was is a UFC fighter and was fighting George St Pierre in Montreal last November.
I simply love that area. I was hunting a 400 class bull there last year and have taken many very large elk and deer in the area. Its definitely a neat place and one I hold in high regard.

Probably my second favorite place I've lived next to Alaska. Lots of changes since the 80's though.

I can honestly say the bones cost more than the gold or the setting.

Jon,
I showed Joyce your post and she smiled.
"I guess that makes me a trophy wife. Now I don't have to do any chores".
Thanks a lot Jon.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

Thanks for the bump! I haven't read this for quite a while. It's been over 4 years and once I started reading all the sights, smells, and sounds came roaring back.
So glad Andrew and Royal Kafue have flourished.
Cheers

Well, the roof must look tasty to an elephant.
Yes, we recognize that same hut...
Great memories, great hunt, great PH, great camp and staff, and some great trophies!

This was a fantastic report and your trophies are spectacular. So great to read and see again especially after hunting with Andrew and in the same beautiful camp. I'm so glad you posted the link.
What a team...you, Joyce and Andrew! I know from videos and knowing you all there was much laughter in camp! (Maybe a little champagne too.)
Well done!!!! Hugs, Darin
