After scooping up a great offer to hunt Botswana with Tholo safaris(offered by Mark Young here on AR myexclusiveadventures.com) a buddy and I were off to Botswana in a short 4 weeks. This was our first safari and everything went so perfectly I can not imagine how it could have been any better. Every detail from the food, accommodations, trophies, hunting etc.. was absolutely perfect. If you are looking at hunting Botswana give Tholo safaris a very hard look. Especially if you are looking for a tracking Eland hunt. We put on nearly 60 miles tracking these big antelope and I loved every moment. To see the Bushmen trackers do their thing was something to behold, I think It is magic but however they do it you have to see it to believe...Our PH for the hunt was Jaco Visser and was as good a guy as you'd ever want to hunt with, though I'm sure all of their PH's are top notch. Now back to convincing the wife that this once in a life time hunt needs to happen every year...

Jared,

Thanks for letting me assist you with this safari. Clive Eaton and the whole Tholo Safaris crew does a fantastic job as you witnessed.

In the summer of 2013, we had an incredible family safari with Tholo.

The tracking hunt for Eland was the coolest plains game hunt that I've ever done.

Go Duke!!

Great Hunt , congrats and well done .
Hunting on game ranches is still open in Botswana , some ranches border the old hunting concessions , so one can hunt and still see elephant lion buffalo wild dog and leopard on some of the ranches.
