Michelle and the team at Buchanan Hunts put together a hunt for a group of our friends on Humani in the Save’. Rich Tabor chose a great team of professionals who we knew could handle a lense in the face as well as show our clients a great hunt, Richard Tabor , Peter Wood , Alan Shearing and consession owner Guy Whittall. We chose the best camera men in the business in Sean Herbert , Scotty Gergins , Andy Buchanan (producer/editor) and Ray (mondo) Buchanan who captures this thrilling buff hunt. And off we went !!!!

The result is some of the best footage you’ll ever see. Here is the link for the latest episode of TIA . “Riverine fear”

Thank you all for your advice and feedback that ensures the shows success enabling us to continue to show hunting in a positive light.

Awesome quality footage. I hunted leopard and buffalo in Chewore South with Magara, Richard, and Peter in 07. It was the greatest hunt I have been on. They were solid then and I'm sure even more so now. The Whittall's and these guys rank with the best of Africa. Thanks for sharing, brought back great memories.

I couldn’t agree more, thankfully the current owners of chewore are looking after it so it’s coming back nicely .

Please do not bring that stupid idiot into this my friend.

From what I hear these videos are very good, and credit to hunting.

It is just that I do not believe there is such a thing as “the best” when it comes to hunting videos.

I th9nk such a claim would distract from what others seem to think an excellent production.

I am very happy to hear this, and I do wish them the best.

The Mark Sullivan videos have only one purpose, to denegrate clients and other professional hunters, and glorify a selfish, unprofessional someone who has given hunting a black mark!

For me, That is the best buffalo hunting video I have ever watched. It has everything. Production Quality and excitement/drama.

Notice it is long and yet seems very short when you watch it. Thanks for posting. Brian

Good video.
Michelle does a bit of over acting when stating how terrified she is. She is surrounded by men with rifles so really not much to be terrified of.

The advertisements (Swift, Murray Leather, Hill Country Rifles, Woodbury Taxidermy, Boddington.com) really broke up the story. Too many for a short film. Place them at the end: "Brought to you by..."

The shooter makes a good shot on the buffalo but should rid himself of the wad of tobacco in his cheek before speaking.

All in all, perhaps not the best, but a thumbs up. Would watch more of the series but absolutely hate the ads. Thanks for posting.

I like videos that show the difficulty of the hunt; not just a series of kill shots. Your films are good in that respect and the camera work is awesome. A bit less talking at the camera would help though. I find that distracting. I think that the commercials are probably beyond your control.

I have successfully guided Chad and Michelle on a lion and a number of buffalo safaris

Chad is a very relaxed and an experienced hunter and always game for a hunting challenge. He is passionate about hunting ,loves his double and as witnessed he can shoot quickly and very accurately. We appreciate Chad and his hunting buddies support for our conservation efforts and wish him all the best on his future hunting adventures through out Africa. No doubt he will be back at Humani soon.

Michelle has an absolute Phobia following buffalo in thick bush and especially being around elephant.

Buchanan Hunts are a young aggressive marketing company with new ideas and full of enthusiasm. Their videos are fun which is evidence of Andy and Michelle characters. They have come along way and wish them all the very best in their booking agency and TV show.

Best buffalo hunting video? Not sure but it is excellent! Too many commercials? Come on guys, sponsors help pay for the show. When we ordered from Murray last week we made it a point to talk to Dick about his ad and the show. We think Buchanan Hunts has one of best hunting shows on TV.

Hey all its Michelle here, firstly thanks so much for the feedback and we probably shouldn't have used that title.... the "best" but we just get so darn excited that all the hard work that we, the outfitters we use, the Phs, trackers and our clients put in is actually on TV and mostly people are enjoying it! As for the ads.... I'm sure they get "annoying" but if it wasn't for those guys.....NONE of this would be possible so we are glad that they are getting their deserved air time.. :-)
But honestly thank u everyone for your feedback.... it is truly appreciated. We will stick to just the titles of the show as they appear from now on...... promise:-)
Oh and by the way I can assure u that I am not that good at acting..... haha.... I think I let my mind get carried away stalking through that riverine. But you are right, I had 2 men with guns there to handle it just gotta remember to trust my ph and client and not let my nerves get the better of me!!!
Thanks all and have a great week

I think you folks have a bright and positive future. I understand the sponsors who pay but I would rather see them at the beginning and at the end rather than to break up a good story several times. Ads are so annoying to me I dropped television over 20 years ago.

I enjoyed seeing Guy. I met Roger years ago through mutual friends in Chiredzi, the Whiteheads. I hope to visit them again on this year's Zim trip.

Congratulations on a well-done production.

Michelle,
So far you all have done a wonderful job and the shows have all been entertaining. Also, you are showcasing great Safari areas which gets to the real point, which is building your booking agency side simultaneously.
I've watched and enjoyed all 9 episodes thus far.

And apologies for the sexist remarks. They really have no business here or anywhere. Lots more women hunting today which is a welcome trend. Thanks for a great program...

Agreed. The demeaning comment is totally unwelcome and inappropriate. I've dealt with Michelle in her capacity as consultant and been suitably impressed at her professionalism. She is one of the hunting industry "good guys" as far as I can see and deserving of utmost respect.

All the shows I’ve watched have been great to watch. It really showcases how it really is. Nothing fancy, just straight up realistic. I must say that it’s also refreshing to see different PHs on camera rather than the same one over and over again. Good plan!!

No apologies are needed.

She is a woman, and should be proud of it.

And being a hunter, I bet she could not careless about about all the PC bullshit the brainless Hollywood bimbos are screaming about.

They are doing a great show from what everyone is saying, and they deserve our support.

Great show and thanks for putting them on YouTube.

The commercials didn't bother near as much as those other shows with a freaking big sponsor decal on the side of the rifle! Just tacky!

I don't see it as PC at all Saeed. Gentlemen should take umbrage at tasteless remarks whenever or wherever they are made. I was raised to treat people of a different gender, race or religion with respect so long as they reciprocate.

Vicki and I watched that show two nights ago, and we were both impressed with the production quality, and the reality of the hunt. I agree with those here who hesitate to put the tag of "best" on this or any other show. Considering the mountain of quality video work done by Dave Fulson and his Safari Classics crew over the years, I believe that rating anything new as the "best" is premature. I have seen all the BH episodes so far, and consider them an excellent effort. Vicki made the same comment about the client with the big wad of tobacco in his mouth. As a nurse in a Head and Neck Surgery department, she saw far too much carnage due to oral tobacco use. Too little attention is paid by production crews to the fact that video of people up close gets magnified a hundredfold on a TV screen.
Agreed that the comment on Michelle is inappropriate. She is a lovely and capable woman who is also obviously proud of the way she looks. The commercials are both numerous and short, a trend in shows today that makes it more difficult to just fast forward through them. Having met Alan Shearing last year in Zimbabwe, it is nice to see him on camera, even in commercials. All told, BH is a very good show, and a pleasure to watch.

The annoyance of the 'best' quip was soon forgotten. The show made me want to go there. Beautiful area. Commercial ads are easily bypassed with a click & drag of the cursor.
Well done.

Fantastic video, loved every minute of it. Watched it with my 5 year old son and 9 year old daughter which is a testament to how captivating it was and how tastefully it was put together. I don't mind commercials if it brings us videos of this quality.

Some very professional PH's who not only know how to hunt but how to show hunting in a positive light and put their clients at the forefront of the hunt.

I too enjoyed the videography.

Showing the hunt as it went, poor shots, iffy gunhandling and all makes this series stand out and enjoyable!

As someone who has hearing issues, I’d much rather that commentary be added as a voiceover in a normal tone of voice. Whispering is very difficult to make out, and frankly, if I was hunting and the video crew were adding commentary while we were stalking, they would get the boot... so I wouldn’t be surprised if this is edited in... so no point to whisper.

Similarly, couldn’t the background music be a bit more muted?

Overall, I’m enjoying watching your series. It does bring back memories to me!

It’s nice to hear that you are enjoying the series, I’m sorry about the whispering ,the reason it is whispered is that it is taken from live audio. The only thing in this show that is re enacted is a shot from the side of the client on the sticks, many of the voice overs are taken from interviews in the field. Many of our clients hunt without being filmed , it’s only those who would like to be on the show, that enjoy Michelle and My companionship on safari that we film so the crew is not a problem to them. The reason that the crew (self) talk to the camera is that when we started this show we wanted to help people understand exactly what hunting in Africa is all about, many phs are too busy with the hunt to keep informing a novice hunter or camera about what is going on , that’s why We take this on ourselves and I think may be the reason even kids stay tuned. I’m sure it’s only obvious for most of you seasoned hunters but we are trying to capture a broad audience also hence why the show is not only a wack and stack extravaganza. Hunters hearing is definitely a problem that we try to accommodate but some of us are beyond help rotflmo we will try to further mute music as most of us are practically deaf ! However if you are watching on YouTube then a great tip is a simple pair of earphones, you can even get wireless ones for your tv or just plug some into whatever device you are watching off. I’m religious with my earphones, it ensures you hear every detail of audio .

Your constructive feedback is much appreciated sir, and I’ll keep it in mind for season two , thank you .
