I third the whispering comment. I can't make out the whispering most of the time anyway and I am not deaf. It's just poor audio exacerbated by unfamiliar speech patterns and accents. The challenge with these hunting videos is there is 20x more walking through the bush than the more exciting stuff so it would be a very short video if it was not 'padded' with circumstantial stuff. Rather than footage of the party walking through the bush (with the aforementioned whispering), the "blanks" can be filled in with more commentary on the country, the area, how to get to the area, the species found in the area, the flora, the birds, the firearms (not just the repeated shots of loading them but some commentary by the client on the rifle, why he chose that rifle, how much hunting he has done with it, the caliber, any interesting past experiences with it and so on). Some footage of the camps and accommodations are also useful for persons interested in hunting the same area.

Regarding the ads, we all realize that ads are a necessary evil and some of them are actually interesting; what I don't care for are the shameless and obviously scripted "plugs" for those same products during the actual filming. No genuine client says, upon shooting a fine trophy, that "I owe my success to brand X", or "Brand X works every time". This just makes me doubt brand X works at all.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was George’s famous shootacow video from a while back. He was so proud of his shooting and insisted the naysayers were just jealous.....

Enjoy your series very much. It's refreshing to watch a show on hunting that has quality in the filming and content. Well done.

I have watched all the shows. I have also watched Muzzle control during the Hunts. I have been very impressed. Good Muzzle control and the clients checking to see if the Firearm was on safe. I always wonder why the shows don't discuss the caliber's and Bullet weights that are being used on the Hunt's?

I’d agree that we should probably talk more about bullet weight and caliber, it always amazes me how especially American hunters can talk about bullet weight and caliber so often. I think our shows focus more on the hunt , fauna and flora more, than the tools because of our passion for those things, I agree that we should have a little extra about the bullet and rifle specs. Although if I’m totally honest I think the reason is I find it all very monotonous but that’s because of my lack of knowledge I think. Most folks all seem to know everything about what is best to use. But a little more is needed but not too much as there is only 21 minutes of airtime .but I will put some more of that in

Thank you for watching

Thank You Saeed for letting us post on your site.i look forward to meeting you one day. Other forums are less welcoming. As the producer of this show Iv definitely learned some things from the comments .

Less whispering,
More about bullet weight and caliber ( although I worry this may be boring to some ? )

I think from the comments people are mostly enjoying our show because

It’s quality videography
Great PHs
Quality areas
It’s not just a This is my gun ,this is my bullet and this is my trophy show !
It contains a lady , ( Mish and her cupcakes rotflmo )
We talk about the interesting small creatures and plants.
We explain the conservation behind hunting without being in your face about it.
It’s not all shot in the same place .

Things that where said like don’t talk about your sponsors products and don’t put the adds in will obviously be ignored.we believe in all our sponsors and we purposefully asked them to align themselves with us because we don’t want to have to feel like we are used car sales folk.

This was our first ever attempt at a professional production tv show , for these sponsors who are well established in the industry to put thier trust in a 29 year old Producer and a hunting passionate booking agent female , I think they deserve the airtime and it’s not going anywhere.

Allot has been learned and more will be learned. We have started season two and I can honestly say that those who enjoy the show will not be disappointed, the wait will be worth it !

Thanks again for the AR contribution

Andy

Because that would be inconvenient to the advertisers .. the client uses whatever he pleases and that' not necessarily in line with the script.

I think it's pretty easy to talk cartridge, bullet weight, and type (soft or solid) without going off the rails with the sponsors.

Doesn't even have to be a discussion, it could be narration of what the client/PH is shooting, or just a graphic in the corner during the grip and grin session. Doesn't have to be brand specific either, or could be. No shame in supporting sponsors that make good stuff.

I agree that it is good info. Most hunters won't hunt Africa more than once, and they want to know what to bring. It's probably one of the most asked questions on the African hunting forum.

It's a great show.

My take on your program is it's one of only 3, that I record all new episodes. I, for one, enjoy Michelle's reactions to what's going on. As for the whispering complaints, I agree it's annoying while watching the video, but understand it's during the hunt, and that makes it realistic.....how about adding subtitles?

I will continue to watch and enjoy your program. The only thing I would ask....is where can I get one of those Swift caps? Wink

I enjoyed the footage in Chewore. A wild and beautiful setting. Happy to hear someone is taking care of the concession. This was the first camp my wife experienced. She fell in love with Africa from the start. Life is all about the journey and memories.

Thanks for the feedback Andy. Subtitles is not a bad idea! I’ll definitely cut more of the whispers out , thanks for the suggestions and support. Glad your a fan of the swift bullet company , they certainly are something to be admired. Get in contact with us before the hunting show if you’re serious about the cap ! Michelle is definitely not acting! That is one hunting passionate woman ! Very excitable she is...

Great camera work and great video all together. Absolutely hate the advertising in the middle of the video though (like most other who commented here)

I also think that you might have to leave the girl in camp or the hunting vehicle. In sticky situations, panicking people can do stupid things that can jeopardise the safety of all others and if she panics like that in a situation that wasn't even sticky ,she's definitely gonna freak out at some point. Nothing to be ashamed of, but not good for a tense situation

Must also mention, that I think Guy Whittal is an absolute professional... someone I would love to hunt with!!

Absolutely correct about Guy Whittal ! A true professional who gave me a huge start in life and a man I will always look up to.

In terms of who stays in camp and who goes hunting , that’s up to those involved.

We all understand the dangers involved in what we do by choice.

Thank you for watching

I’ll be sure to let Mr Bill Hober know that his hats are in demand. Very interesting man that , if you ever take the time to chat to him you will see why his bullets are pretty close to perfect. He is soooo meticulous

To be honest, IMO, an over-dramatized video of a mediocre buff hunt.

If the hunter had used a sensible rifle (.375 or .416 with low power scope) the buff would have died with a single, well placed, shot.

And the nail-biting, well let's just say Ms. Buchanan will never win an Oscar.

Pretty wood on the rifles though.

They were solid then and I'm sure even more so now. The Whittall's and these guys rank with the best of Africa. Thanks for sharing, brought back great memories.

I couldn’t agree more, thankfully the current owners of chewore are looking after it so it’s coming back nicely .

Was Chewore South mismanaged when Chifuti had it?

Obviously you know nothing about buffalo hunting!

If you have seen Mark Sullivan’s videos illegally guiding clueless clients, you would have seen that they use nothing less than a 500!

And even with that, shooting a tame buffalo, bred on farm, they require at least half a dozen shots, and half a day to kill it!

These buffalo are nothing like the ones you and me shoot.

Ours drop dead with a single shot from a 375.

Theirs are killers! rotflmo

As for an interesting buffalo hunt video (MS notwithstanding), I once saw a video of a lady that shot a buff about 80 yards or so out.

The buff turned and started running towards them. Charge? Maybe.

The PH urged her to shoot again and so she did. Again and again and again.

A couple of times the buff went down, but it would always get up and keep coming. A charge for sure now.

Finally the PH dropped it at about 7 or 8 yards.

No doubt this was not a "shoot to wound" MS kind of deal but a realistic look at a pissed off buff.

The buff's tenacity to reach the shooters was simply amazing.

I wounded a buffalo Ltd year, and he got into some thick stuff.

According to both professional hunters with me, he was actually looking for us, by keeping turning around.

He spotted us the instant I brained him.

They both said he would have come for us if he was not shot.
