It took me awhile to get around to posting this hunt report...but wanted to share.

Dates : September 7-14th 2013
PH : Johan Hermann Safaris
Mthimkulu Concession. Limpopo. South Africa
PH : Johan Hermann
Cameraman : Chris Esterhuizen
Team : Freddie, Elias, Pinky.
Rifle : CZ 550 Safari Magnum in 416 Rigby shooting 400gn Rhino softs.

Due to having limited time to hunt on my succesful Elephant hunt with Johan in May I returned in September to hunt Buffalo.

This is a superb area for Buffalo with the genetics incredible. You have a chance to take a real monster here as evidenced by the 47" and 48.5" bulls I took in 2009.

On day 2 I passed a 45" bull which was a bit young and slightly soft in the front.

Here are the two bulls we took.
Awesome old warriors and great memories forever of a fine safari with Johan and Chris. We hunted hard and had lots of fun.

Johan and I with our first Bull.

Chris and I with our second Bull.

Very well done!

Cheers,

P.S must have been easy loading those bulls with the 'small' cameraman to help!!!

Thanks Brent. I knew you would like him.
When we saw that old scrumcap bull there was no second thoughts.
Chris and I looked at eachother and the moment is captured on film.
Yes, positioning for photo's and loading those bulls is easy with a "bull" like Chris around. A great guy , cameraman and super to have in the field.

Cheers

Steve

Steve - your second Bull would be a serious contender for "Dugga Boy of the year" had you taken him with CMS! Good stuff...
