Hi guys! Just got back last night and am still a bitty groggy. I will post a hunt report in a few days and Les will provide the pictures. It was a great hunt and I am extremely lucky to have taken this bull. I will answer one of the questions now. Regarding the rifle, it is an original Oberndorf sporter Model B made in 1911. The caliber is 10.75x68mm. I handloaded 400 grain Woodleigh solids using Horneber brass and Varget powder. I achieved 2150 fps of MV with no pressure signs and excellent accuracy. It holds 5 down and I have stripper clips for it. I shot him at 30 yards with a side brain shot. Thanks for the comments. More to follow in a few days. Regards, RCG | |||
