We just returned from a great week with Charl and Frederik at Infinito Safaris.

Charl and Frederik are both regular contributors here to AR and that is how I met them.

We also were with them last year, and a repeat hunt speaks for itself.

We got everything agreed to as far as accomadations, food, transport, etc.

The camp was great, and we also harvested all the game we had anticipated.

Give these guys a try, they are OK.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Yip, we all had a ball. Thanks Terry, again....

I was at Willie's place yesterday looking for a Kudu cow for the pot that he owes me, and we bumped that big Kudu we were looking for...He is well into the sixties now, and I will post some pics when he is down.

Blair...."David's" kudu was on another property.

I have been chasing a particular bull that is similar size for the last three seasons, nearly had him last weekend.....

I almost had him in my sites when a puff adder let me know that i was standing too close to him....

Needless to say I had to back away, he was gone.

I nearly did not back away... diggin

Blair,

I will post some pics if we get lucky, 'cause that is how you get those.

Our area is well known for 60" + Kudu bulls in the hunting industry in SA. Last year three bulls was taken on three ranches in the area, by local hunters.

My own quest ended in a 58.5" (offcial), and the where we went wrong was with the size of the body. He weighed in less than a big cow, at 95kg's butchered weight (they ussualy slaughter out about 180-190kg's). He was on his last legs, and I did not fool around with my .375

I'm not dissapointed in the least, and shot a very impressive trophy.

Maybe you should come and have look for yourself, and we can time it with a three nations test (if you support rugga?)

Cheers mate

That sounds like a plan. I'm hunting with Mike Kibble in August this year but from there on, it's wide open.

Post up the pics when you get lucky thumb

Your on mate, we'll see next year how it plays out.....Good luck with Mike, he's got a good reputation! Hope you get lucky!

I owe CCHunter, here from AR, a Big Kudu, and I realy do hope he gets one of those big boys. He is with us for about 2 months, so his odds are good!

Which ever way it swings, we will post it!

Cheers.

He should nail one if he's there for 2 months. thumb

What do you consider the best time to hunt a big bull? At the height of the rut, or later in the season when the feed and water are down?
