Of course, our “boys” in the cruiser had fallen asleep and not heard the shot, so we walked almost a mile before they finally realized we had shot and were walking towards them.

Who's mounting him for you?

Please post every pic that you have of him

At the urging of my PH, Mike Payne, I took a look at some of the cats Ben Cromeens of TriState Taxidermy in Houston has done. They are very impressive mounts. So, I am going to have Ben do my leopard. He may even have it ready for the shows early next year.

Congrats on the cat! Absolute hammer.

Hunted that farm back in 2009 with some friends with Charlie Campbell and Safari Trackers. You are correct that the thorns on one half of the farm are insane. They have some great cats there and plains game.

I believe the entire ranch is about 80,000 acres.

At the risk of prolonging this thread longer than it deserves, I just got copies of some of the trail camera photos we took of my leopard in the early stages of baiting. I think they are pretty cool.

I just got a call from Ben Cromeens down in Houston. He said my trophies had arrived, and my leopard is in great shape. Ben said he plans to have my leopard completed and at his booth at DSC in January - can't wait!

Many thanks to Andy Hunter and Lynn Duncan for getting my trophies back to the States so quickly and to Lisa Jamnik and Laura Durgin of D&L Custom House Brokers for getting everything through customs and fish & wildlife without a hitch! You guys are simply the best.

For those of you who will be attending the convention in Dallas in January, please stop by the Tri-State Taxidermy Booth and see my leopard. Ben Cromeens has really done a nice job of mounting it.

Ben Cromeens of Tri-State Taxidermy in Houston just completed my leopard mount. Ben had this mbada on display at his booth at both the Dallas and Houston Safari Club Conventions last month. Now he (the leopard, not Ben!) is enroute to my home in Virginia. He will have a place of honor in my home office.

That is gorgeous.

And how nice it is to have trailcam pics...and then trophy pics...and then the actual mount itself! If it were me, I would frame the best trail camera shot and the best trophy shot and hang them nearby.

Congratulations!
