I haven't hunted with them, but a friend of mine hunted with them on his first trip to Africa. He had a great time, and had nothing but good things to say about them.

Sendero, My taxidermist hunted with them this last April. He and his wife flew into Cape Town and rented a car to drive to the location. He took some nice trophies including two large Bushbucks. In all he shot about 21 animals including a large Eland. He had some great photos and would recomend them. He told me the terrain was thick and green and the property was quite large and most of it was fenced, however it didn't feel confined and the animals were quite wild. BTW, He also mentioned that he has received notification that his shippment will be sent inthe next month. That's fast for Africa.

Sendero,

While I have not hunted with Blauukrantz, I have met Arthur at the Houston convention last year. Very nice fellow. My bother-in-law just got back from hunting with them and had a great safari. He highly recommends them.

You have a PM, Sendero.
Arthur and Trinette are staying home -- business in great hands with sons Eardley and Francois, whom I'll see at Houston Safari Club February 3 in the Woodlands. (I hunted with son-in-law Philip Dixie, also a great PH).

A buddy and I both hunted with Blaauwkrantz in July 2004. I bow hunted and he rifle hunted. They have a lot of property and the animals roam fairly wild -- a lot of different species available, with very good trophy quality on most -- the best Kudu hunting anywhere (there are simply tons of them). On my 6 day bowhunt took East Cape Kudu, Bushbok, Common Lechwe (a monster), Duiker (a monster), and Bushpig. My buddy who was rifle hunting and took more animals. They were not at all set up for bowhunting, and don't really vary their hunting methods a lot to accomodate for the challenges presented by bow. Had to hunt a lot harder than my buddy, but we were successful. The Camp is a lodge converted from a home, food was good -- The Rudman family make great hosts and were very personable to deal with. Their game processing, dipping and packaging is second to none other that I've seen anywhere in the world.

For an Afican Rifle hunt, I really can't see how you could go wrong. Great trophies, great value for the dollar, and a very established hunting company.

PM me if you have any specific questions.

I have booked hunts for them since 2000. I send a lot of hunters over there (Barry included) and have never had a single complaint. I have hunted there 3 times myself and am taking a group back over in July.
