Here I want to told and showing the tripp of the Heym CEO T. W. and me to England.

We stay there for some days, search for old english rifles, test them, test the good Heym rifles, shoot, train, eat (fish and chips!) and more... and of course hunt.
:-)

Here we start.
At this shop.

They had the finest english stuff.
One jacket costs more than 2.000 Dollars.

I had more interessed in the fine guns.

And the very good-locking and fine ladys.

The shhoting range was an dream.
More an glof club, very british and fine.

Sometimes the targets aber in your background, you must turn and shoot "over-the-head".

The angle in the photos is "nothing"...
I had seen this kind of shooting the first time, we dont have that in Germany (forbitten, to "dangerous").

But now it comes to hunting.

We hunt there at the area of King Henry the Eight. (Yes, the man with the many wifes, and some of them he had executed :-))

You need the permission of the Royal Famely and the Heym Distribiutor has them.

We wanted to hunt this animal:

THE MUNTJAC

The present-day species are native to South Asia and can be found from Sri Lanka to southern China, Taiwan, Japan (Boso Peninsula and Oshima Island), India and Indonesian islands. They are also found in the lower Himalayas and in Burma. Inhabiting tropical regions, the deer have no seasonal rut and mating can take place at any time of year; this behaviour is retained by populations introduced to temperate countries.

Reeves's Muntjac has been introduced to England, with wild deer descended from escapees from Woburn Safari Park around 1925.[2] Muntjac have expanded very rapidly, and are now present in most English counties south of the M62 motorway and have also expanded their range into Wales. The British Deer Society coordinated a survey of wild deer in the UK between 2005 and 2007, and they reported that Muntjac deer had noticeably expanded their range since the previous census in 2000.[3] It is anticipated that Muntjac may soon become the most numerous species of deer in England and may have also crossed the border into Scotland with a couple of specimens appearing in Northern Ireland in 2009; they have been spotted in the republic of Ireland in 2010, almost certainly having reached there with some human assistance.

Males have short antlers, which can regrow, but they tend to fight for territory with their "tusks" (downward-pointing canine teeth). The presence of these "tusks" is otherwise unknown in native British wild deer and can be discriminatory when trying to differentiate a Muntjac from an immature native deer, although Chinese Water Deer also have visible tusks (downward-pointing canine teeth); however, they are much less widespread.[citation needed]

Muntjac are of great interest in evolutionary studies because of their dramatic chromosome variations and the recent discovery of several new species. The Indian Muntjac is the mammal with the lowest recorded chromosome number: The male has a diploid number of 7, the female only 6 chromosomes. Reeves's muntjac (Muntiacus reevesi), in comparison, has a diploid number of 46 chromosomes.

Very interessting:
- They look like vampires with there long teeth
- They are not native animals, some decades ago, the break out of an zoo

It was very foogy in this very, very old area.

You can shoot by stalking, but you have to be quick.
They are very fast.

...or you can shoot from an machan (in German: Hochsitz), but you must come out and lean forward, because you hade there an difficult angle.

He did an great shoot and hit the animal directly in the middle of the heart.
At over 100 meter, time: 3.5 seconds.

Of course he use an new Heym bolt action.

At the last day, we meet this lday.
He had shoot the record mundjak, here you can see both.

Important:
- She is an good female hunter.
- She dont use Heym (it was an Sauer, but it is an secret :-)) for that animal.

- Here husband is an great shoot too.
