Just returned from 2 weeks in SA at Adansonia
Safaris near Ellisras. Took my 2 sons + wives,
+ 2 grandsons, age 4 and 6. I was worried they
might be too young, but they did just fine.
The camp and food were excellent and the hunting
great. The 4 year old is a future hunter-he
asked dozens of questions and at the end said
he wanted to move there. The PH has 3 young
daughters, who had toys to play with. The
oldest (5) has been going out hunting since she
was 2, so it was no big deal. When out in the
bush with the 4 yr old, we found a blue wildebeest skull/horns, and he carried it around
for 2 days, calling it his wildebeest trophy. It
went to the taxidermist for a euro mount for his
bedroom.
This was my 12th safari, and easily the best.
To be there with my grandsons and show them Africa was simply thrilling. Adansonia Safaris
was the perfect place since there were small
children there.
The future of hunting rides with our children,
and grandchildren. I encourage each of you to
consider introducing kids/grandkids to the
excitement of Africa and hunting. The thrill
for you may be even greater than for your
relatives.

Taking kids and grandkids on safari is a fantastic investment. I am glad they all had a good time.

577ne; it's easy to tell what a great time you had just by reading your words. Congrats on a successful hunt and let's see a pic of your Grandson holding his trophy when you get it from the Taxidermist. Good hunting, LDK

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
