I went on my first South African Safari in July 2012. I had a great time hunting with Cheetah Safari's. We hunted in the limpopo region and I hunted with good friend Shawn Bakken, owner of Bakken Taxidermy. Africa was everything I dreamed it would be and more. We saw so many different animals it was unreal. Now all I can think about it going back!!

CONGRATULATIONS. But I am sorry for your newly acquired addiction. It only gets worse. If I could only come up with a medication for either the acute or chronic manifestation of this syndrome......I would quickly be a rich man. Of course you would NOT want the cure to be permanent. Just a timely respite from full time, full blown insanity.

I envy you, you have started hunting Africa at a relatively young age so you have many, many more years to look forward too. I wish I had started in my 30's. Congratulations on a fine safari!

Congratulations: (i) On a great safari, (ii) Nice trophies (iii) Well set-up pictures, with blood removed/ rubbed or somehow hidden (iv) The good shooting as still evident from where you and or the PH did the blood cleanups - indications of good lung-shots! tu2

But your fighter eland need special mention: Very nice old eland! tu2

Lastly, I'm glad that you're addicted - it's good for my business sector - and thus good for me too!

Your Eland is fantastic.
Bad news....the addiction does not weaken after more safaris.
