This is a 209X45 barrel and has a pin sticking out of the bottom of the barrel lug about about 1/2".

OK, gotta research why TC went out of their way to make muzzle loader barrel incompatible with old frames when they did NOT do it for smokeless barrels!

Ok, found (was told) the answer to this.

Pin put there to prevent use on old (non G2) frames to keep blow by from the 209 priming system out of the actions pieces and parts.

Apparently the G2 has many fewer moving parts to rust up.

25 acp priming system will apparently solve most of the blow by issue.

You really dont need 204 Primers. That is all marketing hype.A no.11 or musket cap would do the same thing!!!(On the appropriate nipple) Big Grin
