It's a Shilen matte stainless bull barrel just a hair under 15" and has the V.V. hanger bar system. The finish is flawless inside and out. The bore looks like a mirror and the crown is perfict. Heck, it even has a real 44mag chamber{no tolit bowl} The Virgin Valley and Caliber markings are beautiful. If this thing shoots anything like it looks [and there's no doubt in my mind that it will be a shooter]i'll be one happy Mother They also put there matte blue finish on a Leupold DD base to match the rings I have. It's now a perfict match for the Bushnell Elite 3200 2x6x32 that will ride on top. Great job Jeff and Dave.
Yes, Jules, I have to agree: those VVCG guys can make a sharp-looking barrel. I am wanting a carbine-length barrel from them in the near future, but at the moment I am torn between caliber possibilities.

Jeff- I'll be doing it in the next few weeks. I was actually thinking about one of the 6mms you have left (Wilson blanks) but have sort of decided against those calibers. I should have been quicker to the punch when there was a 22" 6x45 available. And to put salt in the wound and add insult to injury, Tommy recently e-mailed and told me how well it (the 6x45) is shooting...darn. Just kidding, Tommy...
I actually e-mailed him as soon as you guys posted the sale as I knew he was looking for a 6x47. Someone beat him to the 6x47, but he got the 6x45 and is really pleased with it.
Right now, I am leaning towards the 6mm Wasp, but by tomorrow, I may have something else in mind...
