Now that we have 36,000 of these bullets out there. Has anyone had the chance to load and shoot them in the .357 max. yet. The only load data that I have run across with the 150 grain bullets is in an old Hodgdon manual. It lists 23grains of H4227 under the 150 grain bullet with a velosity of 1924 fps. It shows this as a compressed load. It also states that this load data is from a 10 1/2" barrel. Does anyone have a better starting point then the above load. My barrel is 15" long so I am assuming my velocity will be faster. I'm just not sure about the pressure. Thanks again Paul for putting the big bucks on the line and ordering these for everyone. I would start with "start load" data for 158's using H110, W296 or AA1680 and work up from there. You should be able to achieve better velocity than that..... | |||
