Reloader 1 This gun is just able like a Competitor pistol and if it shoots like a Competitor you have a good gun. My Competitor pistol will shoot a 1/2 group at 100yds of the bench with most caliber
Thanks Paul:I still have to scope it but may do it tonight. No dies or brass yet but found a single box of Rem factory loads to break it in with P.S Are the Competitor pistols barrels interchangeable with the Lone Eagle grips??.
I have a Lone Eagle in 7mm08. I like it alot. Mine has the older grip asbly. The biggest draw back with mine is the trigger pull, it is long and heavy. I have read that the newer grip design has a better trigger. I have been trying to find a newer grip design for mine but no luck yet. I have never sat down and tried to see what it would do at 100 yards but I would say in the 1" range. Even though they look alike the Lone Eagle and the Competitor Pistols are different. On the Lone Eagle you cock the gun with a cocking lever on the left side of the grip asmbly. The Competitor cocks when you open and close the breach. With the Lone Eagle you change the barrel/breach asmbly to change the caliber. With the Competitor the barrel unscrews from the breach and you just change the barrel. At the price CDNN is selling the Lone Eagle for it is a great gun for the price. Lone Hunter

For a funky looking gun the Lone Eagle is one heckuva shooter! My experiences are at 110 yards about 1 3/4" inches with remington factory ammo and a half assed rest in a 44 mag. I think the 7/08 or 30/30 would be great hunting cartridges in this pistol.

Thanks for the response I bought another one from CDNN in 35 REM also. The trigger pull on both of these is actually very good with hardly any creep and about 4lbs. looking forward to shooting them both.I like the idea of the competitor barrel system may have to check into that later.
