I went to the silhouette range on Wed. for a little pratice with the XP100 7BR and FA 44 Mag. and took a long the 35-06JDJ. I'm still shooting a fire form load of 56.0 grs of RL15 behind a Hor. 250 gr SP. It sure does thump the sighter targets. Three other guys shot it and had a ball. One fellow is an excellent standing shooter and he hit the 200 meter ram 3 out of 4 tries,STANDING!!! You should see the dirt fly up in the air when the bullet splatters on the target and hits the ground.

35-06 is a great gun...of course...er...from an great person. Don't forget it. Compared to my other stuff I should have kept it as my varmint rig. HeHe.

What kinds FPS you getting from that? Just curious, my 14" .338JDJ#2 Contender is kicking 225's at 2200fps and 180's at just under 2500 with RL-15.
