#968605323 1911A1 tank commander..40 of these guns (new)for sale at about $450. I ordered mine as they look great satin grey with walnut grips,

One thing about any 1911, they can all be fixed or changed or tweeked to death, good way to spend a cold evening winter in the shop in Idaho..maybe I will buy two or three more to sell...

Just passing this on, got no dog in the fight, Like me your on your own..

Got my order and more than pleased, its a commander model, very well fit and finished, triggr a tad spongy but all 1911s come that way and I can fix that with a hone....

Ray, Tisas makes a very serviceable 1911.
There is a Tisas-specific forum at 1911forum.com.
By the way, I had been pronouncing it tee-sis, as in thesis. Turns out it is Tee-sash in Turkish.

I just saw a Gersan? Browning knock off in their new compact Hi Power, a dream come true..I had one built some 50 years ago from a std Hi Power and loved it, it cost a bloody fortune back then..

Ray, Girsan seems to be getting good marks for the Hi-Power clone, but I am hearing QC complaints about some of their 1911s, especially the 6-inchers in 10mm.

The upside to that is the Hi Power or 1911 have interchangeable parts and are easily repaired if that's any consolation, maybe lol I will hold off and see how it goes, slick idea however..
