I keep seeing more compact AR pistols hitting the market, especially in the 10.5" to 12.5" barrel range. Has anyone here spent real time behind one of these shorter setups?

How’s the reliability across ammo types? Did you have to tweak the buffer system to get it running smoothly? Also curious about muzzle flash and concussion—especially if you’ve shot one indoors.

When it comes to handling, how does the balance and pointability compare to a full-size rifle? And what optics are you using? Red dot, prism, LPVO?

I’m trying to get a sense of whether these AR pistol builds are genuinely practical or just fun range toys. If you’ve got rounds downrange on one of the newer offerings, I’d really value your take.
