went for a little look this morning near home, and checked out a wallow that had not been used since november. Well he's back!! two weeks ago there was no activity, but this morning, i've noticed that a stag has pawed the ground (there has been almost no rain in the last 2 weeks) until some seapage had come through and he then had a good old mud bath, I could clearly see a antler print in the mud, about 22"-24" long
after following the mud trail I aslo saw a hind , about 300 meters from the wallow, hunted until midday without any further sightings. Just a matter of time......

Make sure you keep tabs on him for when I make it down that way.
Mind you, this won't be for a while as i'm off to Zim in a few weeks to chase a couple Marauding Ele's then Zanzibar and Kenya for about month.

I reckon a GSP is a far handier proposition.

a GSP is on the cards,not definate yet, still deciding between GSP and wirehair.Kids want GSP I want Sambar dog first and foremost.I am hearing a lot of good things about wirehairs and sambar.
