Sounds good Con...I have been thinking about a Ruger .338 re-barrelled to .416 taylor for my "motorbike" big bore...or even just rebarelled to .458 winnie and use it with 400 gr woodleigh protected points, it would have a 20" barrel I feel I could make a 20" .458 win mag work with AR2207 and lighter bullets.

PC,
The 458 "bike" gun sounds fun. When I cut my Zastava's barrel from 24" to 22" I picked up a bit of velocity using 350gr Hornadys and AR2207. If you want I'm quite happy to sell you the Zastava, with mounts, dies, some cases and 350gr Hornady projectiles (loaded if you want). I need to empty the gunsafe out a bit. The 416 Taylor sounds interesting too especially on a Ruger 338 as its a basic rebarrel job. Another idea if you want to be different is to use a 416 Taylor reamer with removable pilot and see if a pilot in .408 caliber could be used. That chambering would allow use of Woodleigh 400gr in .408 for serious stuff and 40 calibre pistol projectiles for fun and play. Should ask Bob about it and see how big a roll of the eyes I can get
Cheers...
Con
