Coming thick and fast. Grandson out with dad this evening shooting some bunnies and caught this one out just on dark.
All just happened and busy dressing it out as I post.

Cool. Did the youngster shoot it or was it dad?

I can imagine his excitement. He will talk of it for the rest of his life!

No dad did the shooting, bout 300m away by the time a shot could be taken. The young one does shoot a suppressed 223 on target. He will be sitting with me in my two chair mai mai on duck shooting opening weekend in a couple of weeks time, no room to get in with dad in his lay down blind. Him and younger sister have been in the outdoors tramping and hunting since old enough to fit in a back pack.

This is great to see. I'd love to take my grandson hunting in the next few years but something tells me his greenie mother won't see the joke. Pappy gave him a copy of the book (in which the boy is mentioned for inspiring a chapter name) but his mother won't let him read it.

Probably got some farm breed in there somewhere in its history or been managing to sneak in on some farmed deer food. Excessive top branching is a feature of farmed deer, but found in the wild now too after a few decades of deer farming and escapees.
They all make for good shooting and then good salami Smiler
