Although we've had our problems on my house build  , everything is progressing again. I was out on site today and we were talking shooting and such and as we were in the room that I'll be using for my man's nook, the builder said he would fill in the area between the studs with some solid timber so I can hang my buff mount and other future mounts anywhere on the wall without being limited to hanging them only on a stud. Cool hey   ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!" | ||

You want 3/4 inch plywood all over any surface you plan on hanging mounts on. That's ideal. Of course reality and ideal aren't always connected. | |||

I only have one Matt but one day...But that won't be a problem, he's going to do the whole room from a height of about 1 meter up to just under the ceiling. I think he'll used more substantial wood D99. You should give some thought to having as high a ceiling in your man-cave as possible too - the modern ceiling height is about a metre too low for displaying anthing big with antlers . ________________________ Old enough to know better | |||
