Thoughtfull builder
Although we've had our problems on my house build Roll Eyes, everything is progressing again. I was out on site today and we were talking shooting and such and as we were in the room that I'll be using for my man's nook, the builder said he would fill in the area between the studs with some solid timber so I can hang my buff mount and other future mounts anywhere on the wall without being limited to hanging them only on a stud. Cool hey Cool Big Grin

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Cool - make sure you do a drawing of their locations before the plasterer shows up!!

You want 3/4 inch plywood all over any surface you plan on hanging mounts on. That's ideal. Of course reality and ideal aren't always connected.

I only have one Matt Big Grin but one day...
But that won't be a problem, he's going to do the whole room from a height of about 1 meter up to just under the ceiling.

I think he'll used more substantial wood D99. He's talking about useing the left over roof supports, they're about 50mm thick.

I meant the locations of the reinforced areas - but I see now!!

My builder suggested thr exact same thing when I explained it was to be the trophy room. He seemed envious.

I keep threating the wife that the buff mount is going over the bed. My builder is going to put up some ply over the bed area just for a stir.

You should give some thought to having as high a ceiling in your man-cave as possible too - the modern ceiling height is about a metre too low for displaying anthing big with antlers .

The celings are raked so they will be a tad higher than normal.
