I moved from ANZ to the Middle East late last year, while it reduced hunting opportunities it makes it a lot easier to visit family in South Africa. My old man turned 80 this year, so I'm making the most of spending time with him on the farm.

Here are a few pics from the last 2 trips.

I miss hunting Impala. Such an elegant animal with beautiful pelage. Love Impala biltong.

Hendrik,

Good luck there in Abu Dhabi. Nyala and bushbuck are my favorite plains(?) game to hunt.

Vic's wife did an Impala osso buco when we hunted with them, that was one of the best things that I've ever eaten.

Yup, all on the old mans' place.
Its around the Marken/Baltimore area in Limpopo

here are a few more just to get Shanks going.

Camera is a Canon R50 with the RF100-400 lens, I find it a great lightweight combo for this kind of photography.

That's the rare spotted Nyala. Too bad he's a scrum cap.

Great photos....looks like a beautiful place! I absolutely love Nyala...that was one of the species I most enjoyed hunting on my trip to RSA a few years ago.
