He's always had a 45/120 built on a Ruger No1,so it must be a 50/140 that's missing. Regards,Shaun. Kids in the back seat cause accidents, accidents in the back seat cause kids.

Man, that 50/90 makes the 45/70 look like a pipsqueak.... How do they compare ballistically? Knocks you on your arse when you touch on off I'm betting. Some serious lead there.

Bullet mould arrives next week; 650gn Creedmore with 95gn FG as a starting load. Mind the old 577/450 with 80gn FFG and a 520gn bullet is no pussy either, generating 62ft lbs of recoil in a 9 lb rifle. That's equivilant to 3x303's at once through a steel buttplate on to a bare shoulder Hold still varmint; while I plugs yer! If'n I miss, our band of 45/70 brothers, will fill yer full of lead!

10 shots to the pound! Fark! you must be on real good terms with you local tyre balancing place.... I shoot a 45/70 from a 7lb Marlin GG and I reckon that thumps me pretty good....a dozen shots is all I need in a day.
