Consider a .30-caliber rifle with a premium, cut-rifled barrel. Would there be any accuracy benefits in rifling this barrel with 5 lands and grooves versus the traditional four lands and grooves? Twist rate would be 1:10...

Accuracy doesn't come from the number of lands and grooves. It comes from pure shit luck. Ask any barrel maker. He'll make a barrel with whatever number you want. In either direction. Can he tell you which will be more accurate? I don't think so.

Ditto's
There seems to be, from my experience, one in about 200 barrels that are true hummers.
