Joyce and I are back in PA for Joyce's Father's 94th birthday. He retains a rare level of physical and mental ability for someone his age which makes him a walking historian in relation to flying in a B-24 in WWII. He had 26 missions over Germany and can recite the date and destination of every flight without his scorecard. The Collins Foundation had a B-24J st Capital City Airport near Harrisburg and Ray was able to once again fly in the type plane he served in with the Army Air Corp as flight engineer and top turret gunner during WWII. Here are two clips, as covered by local news. There were four news crews present and I will add the others if they link the stories to their webpages. #1 #2 Cheers Jim ______________________ DRSS ______________________ Hunt Reports 2015 His & Her Leopards with Derek Littleton of Luwire Safaris - http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/2971090112 2015 Trophy Bull Elephant with CMS http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/1651069012 DIY Brooks Range Sheep Hunt 2013 - http://forums.accuratereloadin...901038191#9901038191 Zambia June/July 2012 with Andrew Baldry - Royal Kafue http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/7971064771 Zambia Sept 2010- Muchinga Safaris http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/4211096141 Namibia Sept 2010 - ARUB Safaris http://forums.accuratereloadin...6321043/m/6781076141

Wonderful stuff. My late uncle flew many missions as the pilot of a B-24 in the South Pacific. These men gave their full measure of devotion. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

Of all the WWII aircraft that I would have wanted to fly, the B-24 and B-26 would have been at the bottom of the list. Not sure which one would have won the worst in class award. Great story however. The Greatest Generation. . . ___________________ Just Remember, We ALL Told You So.

My Dad was a Belly Gunner on a B-24 in the South Pacific. Today he would be 92. Sad to say He has passed on. NRA Life Member From West Virginia, where the Sun shines in the sky and the Moon shines in the basement
