Unfired James River Armory M14 in 7.62x51mm with 10 additional 20 round magazines.

If you live in a state which doesn't have a ban against semi-automatic rifles* or high-capacity magazines*, the gun will be shipped in a new soft case to the dealer of your choice. The additional magazines will be shipped directly to your doorstep.

I paid $1,700 for this rifle when it was originally released, and it is no longer available. $1,400 shipped, including magazines. Upgrade to a new hard case for $40 more.

*ASSAULT RIFLE BAN STATES: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Washington.

*HIGH-CAPACITY MAG BAN STATES: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington.

Also includes an unissued 1969 Imperial M6 bayonet (without sheath) to complete the package.

Very nice!

It brings back memories of sitting on the sail of submarines, armed with a M14 for swim call and man overboard drills.

Good luck with your sale.

Wrong. The JRA M14 is semi-auto.
Just because the government or another company uses a different naming convention, doesn't mean that JRA has to follow along with them.

Just because JRA uses a different naming convention doesn't mean that thats not an M1A as designated by the government and other companys either.

I'm mean, if you want to double down on being wrong, I guess you gotta do it twice!

Quite literally, the government recognizes the JRA M14 naming convention. You think that when JRA reports to the ATF they call it something other than a M14? And, no other company has tried to force a naming convention on JRA.

If your pedantry is just that you want all semi auto rifles on that platform to be called a M1As, and all machine guns on that platform to be called M14s, well, OK, but that's not how the rest of the world works.

I agree. Auto Ordnance calls their semi auto only "Thompson" a Thompson and Ohio Ordnance calls their semi auto only "BAR" a BAR.

M1A is a registered trademark of Springfield Armory, Inc. ONLY Springfield Armory, Inc. can name their rifles M1A. Any other company such as James River or Fulton would be sued if they used M1A.
As for M14, the Govt doesn't have a problem with that name.
