Here is a Winchester M1 Garand, made in WW2 of course, most parts are Winchester made. Rifle was rebuilt at ANAD in 1966 and so marked. Stock is post war. Even has the WW2 lock bar rear sight. Note the slanted area in operating rod which is over the cam; that feature was changed in an ECP early in production by SA, but Winchester ignored it. Note the rough machining typical of Winchester; they ran their tooling into the ground. $2495 shipped. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The CMP just announced that they are basically out of original condition M1s and are making ones to sell from Drill Rifles, with new barrels and bolts. Those had the barrels welded onto the receiver; have to be cut off. I have restored many of them to firing condition. Point is, original Garands will only go up in price. This one is now $1750.

I’m curious how the reclaimed Garands perform. Their videos show quite a bit of testing done on them by Heritage Firearms. Shoot Safe, Mike NRA Endowment Member

The CMP ones that were drill rifles? Pure junk; do not buy them.
