In exactly 7.5 days, someone will come with a rusty key and remove the handcuff attaching me to my desk thereby allowing me to go on my first hunt this autumn!!!!!!!!!! Not that I am counting.
Fingers crossed the deer will still be roaring in the Czech republic cause I have a new (to me) .270 Sako Finbear that needs exercising!
Pictures and report will follow.

There are fantastic red stags there, get down there soon cause they are roaring hard. It is an amazing chance to sit right next to them doing their thing.
I saw a herd of 10 stags up to 16pts wallowing, roaring and even sparring a bit. Great stuff, though the gf was a bit frightened by all the posturing.
There are also a couple large herds of fallow deer, totalling 350 animals I believe. Saw a couple gold medal bucks too.

The thought of sitting , (unarmed) next to a raoring stag in the rut doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
A couple of years ago a mate of mine got charged (litterally) by a Fallow from a distance of 100m. He dropped it at about 5-10m when it put it's head down without stopping. He needed a significant portion f my hipflask when he turned up for breakfast at the shoot!!!
I had a satg 2 years ago in Norfolk that was "venting" his frustrations on the tree to which I was attached via a high seat. I never saw him but I would have hated to have been that tree!!
Sounds to me like your missus is the brains of the operation!!
boghossian, that stag in the middle of your last post there, the one with the hinds and the spiker with him. that stag has a bit of a windsor throw back!
