Beautiful animals, estimated age? Mouse, are trophies without crowns taken in preference in Slovenia? When doing a 'selection hunt' in the Czech republic the main aim of the hunt was to shoot an animal with forks rather than crowns. Something I had not heard of before, but was told it is a German method of management.

First stag 4 years old - he took two 11g Noslers in 7x57R right on shoulder, second one is estimated 6-7 years old - he took one 11,2g S&B SPCE in 7x65R chest frontal. Regarding crowns - we have a policy to spare stags with crowned trophies until they reach the age of 10 years. So accordingly shooting of the second stag was wrong - stag was too young. But thats hunting - things happen.

To put some tone under pictures - from our places few days ago - you can hear two stags roaring - closer one is "main" stag with hinds and the other one is a young one that wants a piece of cake - enjoy : ROAR in Slovenia 2007
