I would like to ask all our Euro- Freinds what hunting is offered in Portugal.

I would like to visit next year and would be very interested if you also have any tour suggestions.

Respectfully,
Urdubob

Urdubob,

In Portugal you can hunt:

Wild boar all year round.

Red deer, fallow deer and mouflon can be hunted from beginning October until end of February using the "montaria" method (sort of driven hunt using a lot of dogs) and also when on the rut (September/October/November).

The small game season starts the 15th August for ducks, pigeons and doves and beginning October for rabbit, hare, red partridge, and small birds, and closes by end of December, January or February depending on the species.

Tour opportunities are immense. Depending on the season and the time available.

If you need any more info feel free to contact me on this forum or using my e-mail.
